For a while I was on the fence about seeing "Snitch" but this evening a friend of mine had invited me out to the movies and we decided on watching it. I did not expect too much as I thought that it was just another action movie, but I was pleasently surprised. The main characters were "Dwayne Johnson", (The Rock - wrestler) as John Matthews, "Barry Pepper", as DEA agent Cooper and "Susan Sarandon", as US District Attorney Joanne Keeghan.
It's based off a true story where Matthews 18 year old son gets tricked into receiving narcotics and is facing a 10 year minimum sentence in federal prison. The only was out for him is to work undercover in order to help the feds arrest a dealer. Matthews offers himself as an informant as a subsitute for his son and eventually convinces the sceptical prosecutor to allow him to do it. The movie had a bit of everything. Some really good acting, a decent story line, some drama, a few very emotional scenes, car chases and shootouts. It was an enjoyable watch for me and I give it 7.5 to 8 out of 10.
Peace guys
