There's nothing wrong with being a gay man, if you don't mind going through life, with a bag on your chin.
What I don't subscribe to is the theory that certain individuals have 'diplomatic immunity', because they are gay. They 'feel' that they are victims, because they have chosen a lifestyle that is offensive to many, but the majority of those are intimidated by their pack mentality.
Gays are not an homogenous group. A small percentage are monogamous, and discrete, but this is the only subdemographic shown in the media. Many are promiscuous and indiscrete about their sexuality, as if there is no topic of interest to them, other than 'sexual politics'.
To me, these 'PC Gays' are very much like Canada Geese: At one time, they were in need of protection, because their numbers were dwindling. Through overprotection, and unnatural regulations enacted to safeguard the remaining flocks, their numbers have increased to the point where they are now found in abundance everywhere.
Public feeding has disrupted their natural behavior to fly south for the winter, and they have become belligerent, smug with the feeling of entitlement, derived from their status, as a 'protected species'.
They flock to public green spaces, and befowl the environment with their spoor, left behind, for everyone else to sidestep.
They are, indeed, a symbol of Canada, the only place on Earth where citizens apologize when they bump into inanimate objects.

demien, you are a professional troll. You do not necessarily believe the opinions you express. You frequently lie blatantly, and dare people to prove it. Your credibility is entirely based on the testimony and endorsement of other serial liars. You do, however, provide me with some amusement, so I do, from time to time, enjoy fencing with you, rather than bludgeoning you with devastating bon mots, as I do with other trolls, who have no redeeming value whatsoever.
I competed in debating in high school at a high level, and I have 'passed the bar', in the legal sense, not by attending law school, and passing an examination, but by 'field commission', in that I successfully defended myself in criminal court, against false charges of assault, and won acquittal without ever having to present a defense argument. This is part of the public record, and could be verified, if I wished to divulge my civilian identity. Alternatively, I could have a board member who knows that information review the documentation, and confirm that what I've said is true. Just because you, (and many other passive-aggressive types, who often use emotion icons to mask the fact that they are poorly literate), are fully or partially full of shit, does not mean that everyone else is, too. Just because your misbehavior is common, does not mean that it's normal. Being part of a large group of morally corrupt individuals is something to which one ought not to aspire.
'Homophobic' literally means 'fear of man'. In colloquial terms, it refers to those individuals who are not subservient to homosexuals. I don't hate or fear homosexuals. I do, however, lack respect for many of the lifestyle choices they voluntarily make. Some men would rather starve, or die, than engage in a homosexual act. Others would not. Others pay to do so, and others do it voluntarily, and feel the urge to tell everyone that they do so, as if their lifestyle is something of which they should be proud.
You have a lot of things in common with gays, even if you don't partake of the fruit of another man's loins. Perhaps that's why you number them among your group identity; like them, you always make excuses, (when you both try and fail), you never take individual responsibility for anything, and you never learn anything new from your mistakes.
Like many, you have failed to learn from the lessons of Seinfeld. They don't teach you how to live your life, they teach you how NOT to. Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer are friends to each other, because no one else can stand to know them, for more than an episode or two. I suspect the same is true for you, with people in real life, so you waste most of your leisure time in the company of anonymous strangers, who also pretend to be something that they, too, are not.
