Been talking to other hobbyists on this and other boards, and been finding some uncanny similarities between their lives at home and mine. But at the same time, I've also talked to other hobbyists who have quite different relationships with their SO's. I'm wondering, amongst the hobbyists here, how many of us are sneaking around behind an SO's back? And why? So I'm asking for a vote. Which best describes your hobbying status right now?

Being in a relationship can either mean being married or having a girlfriend (whether live-in or not).

After you've voted, post a message describing how and why you got into this hobby.

I tried it for a few months then decided it wasn't for me but I like hanging out in the lobby.

I can't have pork chops everyday. I good 16 oz Angus steak without her knowing is good for a relationship that you don't want to leave.

Started like many of you here. We get along have a great family and travel enough but never enough sex.

I was fortunate to have found a couple of regulars that I visit when I get the urge why I don't review much anymore. Comfortable with what I have.

I got into this hobby when I was single, on again, off again. But I don't think I've ever needed this hobby as much as I do after getting married. Typical problems, we can't communicate with each other properly, trying to communicate only makes it worse. She constantly misinterprets what I'm trying to say, weirdest things end up in fights. Best to keep quiet, so she has fewer opportunities to misinterpret me. No sex, I don't even ask anymore.

Without the hobby, I'd have to fume under my collar, until I blew up. In the hobby, I get to joke around with the girls, they enjoy my stories, they tell me their stories. It really does relieve the tension, both physically and mentally.

Mostly a lurker on reviewing but the main reason I hobby is so I don't have to worry babes calling me in the middle of the night.

I think this is the case for so many married guys.

Got into the hobby after our first child. Sans sex six months later drove me to hire SP without the baggage. Since our second child my wife got hornier so taking it easy for a while till she goes back on the wagon again.

I cannot remember when I didn't pay for a SP. From my teens walking down the streets looking for one to massage parlors ventures etc...

Was just born horny and got tired of jerking off. Lucky enough to have cash flow since I was young. Have slowed down because of old age and getting along with my wife seems to keep me out of it for months and months.

Interestingly, I've posted this same thread in 2 other boards, and so far, the mix of answers here are quite different than in the other two boards. The leading response is also quite different than in the other two boards.

So far, after 18 responses, by far the leading answer is the Secret-Unhappy man, with exactly 50% of responses, followed by the Secret-Happy man with 28%, and the Single man with 22% close behind. In the other boards, the leading answer is Secret-Happy, followed by Single, followed by Secret-Unhappy. Not sure what to make of these results so far, for this board. I'm sure there are some theories out there, though. :wink2:

I'm surprised nobody's reamed him out for posting the same thread on more than one board.

Look who's talking, Ms. "Media articles on Bill C-36 Everywhere" Sarah. :wink2:
