cristycurves said:To address your first point, simply because an escort isn't getting business doesn't mean she is doing something wrong. I'm sure you're aware of many of the games played against some and how some will be targeted for fame and some for ruin. But, who is anyone to say what anyone can afford or not afford to do. None of us knows the others financial needs or situations and, many clients give expensive gifts such as designer shoesPerhaps those trying to sell them were gifted them and are out to make some extra cash by selling them, or perhaps they could afford to buy such luxuries, even then that doesn't mean they should suffer loss of time, money or anything else or can't cry hard times when things slow down here and there.
Too address your last point, this isn't a job for me, it's a lifestyle, one I too choose to participate in and one in which I don't participate in daily, or even weekly/monthly sometimes. I've seen 4 clients in a day and I've seen 2 in a month and other sp's work the same way, so?. I do it when I want and as often as I want. So I'm not sure what point you were trying to make when saying the same about hobbyists. If it was that sp's should feel sympathy and make exceptions for "poor fuckers" who can't afford escorts often, well you won't find it with me. I've made my position clear about this "hobby" being a luxury, not a necessity, so if you can't afford it you don't do it, it's that simple.
I love Jags, yet I can't afford to own one, so should I cry to Jaguar and expect they lower their prices or change some of their options so I could? Or should I be realistic and drive what I can afford, or get a job that will give me an income that will cover the cost.........We all want things we can't afford, but you shouldn't cry louder or expect special treatment, if that luxury wasn't as expected, simply because it was harder for you to get. Some should rethink their spending habits, if they can't afford to lose the money spent, then don't spend it on things they don't need!!
In most of my experience, I relate to the masses here. You seem to be one of a kind or someone that sets the bar. I don't know if you associate with many SP's out in Toronto, but I do, agency, indies and BP girls. Yes, there are all separate categories. My experience is not limited to one more than the other although I will tell you that I have experienced more substance abuser on BP but they don't seem to cloak it as well as some of the Indy or agency ladies whom I know who are substance abusers; but they don't usually last very long and you can find them on BP.
For the most part, it IS a job to most of these ladies. "I have to go to work today babe." I can't tell you how many of those messages I get on my phone. I think I know of perhaps one lady that I saw regularly that tried to pass this off as a lifestyle but soon relented and said it was just work. I'm not saying that there aren't more of you out there, but I haven't run in to too many.
As for the gifts. I dunno. The proof is in the Twatter. "Look at what I just treated myself to ...I know I shouldn't have blah blah blah....." That doesn't seem like a gift from a benefactor as that is usually bragged upon as well to show that she has generous clientele and you should be one of them. Before I got off of Twatter, my gifts were displayed but no name attached. When I got off Twatter, my gifts were no longer paraded with recognition. I don't know the deal behind that M.O. but whatev...
