To be circumcised or not?

That's exactly why we have circumcision, and nothing else: religion. To pretend that it has some health benefits is just dumb.

I'm not supporting religion...any religion...as a valid excuse for circumcision, but there is history behind the decision made by several religions. There were health benefits recognized back then: infections of the penis are much higher when you don't wash properly under the forskin, and with the hygience in biblical times leading to many penile infections and subsequent deaths or disabilities in young men (useful for procreation and fighting), Religion's tenants werea suitable way of preventing a lot of such deaths from infections. Coating such common sense in "religious dogma" only made it more widespread in those days, where religion was the reason most people survivied their existence.

Statistics are great when you take them to mean anything you want. Trump does this a lot. 98% of the time.

So, according to your "references" (which are NOT medically correct), being circumsized leads to HIV and STD. Dumb.

What makes them not medically correct? how do you explain high STD rates in U.S.A, muslim Malaysians and the Philipiines where most men are circumcised?



CONCLUSIONS:

I have never read any scientific argument that circumcision lowers the rate of STI / STD transmission and infection, nor would I believe it would have any such effect. It doesn't make sense medically or scientifically. High STD rates have nothing to do with circumcision or not. I have NEVER said they do, nor would I.
