Canadians love Ottawa, but don't have nice things to say about Toronto.
That's the results of a new survey from the Association of Canadian Studies and the National Capital Commission.
Ottawa ranked the highest with 82% of the vote, but Victoria and Vancouver were not far behind, with 81% and 80% respectively.
Toronto, meanwhile, received top spot in the most hated category with 19%.
People in Alberta really hate the Ontario capital the most, with 30% saying they feel somewhat or very negative about the city.
Montreal was the second hated city, garnering 18% of the negative vote.
Victoria was the least hated city, with just 4% of survey respondents giving it a thumbs down.
Other cities on the survey included Halifax, Calgary, Quebec City and Edmonton.
The online Leger Marketing survey with 2,345 Canadians was conducted between Sept. 20 and Oct. 3. The margin of error is two percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
