Most of us are happy to have a fool leaving office and overjoyed at the reaction of the fools who love him.

Hillary is still 2.5 million votes ahead, not that it matters in that system you pretend to be a democracy.

Half of America will be suppressing its gag reflex for the next four years.

It may not have to be that long. CIA is certain that Russia was behind the email hacks, and it could've hacked voting machines too. It's telling how the Trump team is saying that there was no voter fraud now, now that they've won as a result of it.

It is a Republic....

Exactly. I wish more people remembered that.

Those crying that we need to do away with the Electoral College should just STFU. This isn't the first time someone has won the popular vote and lost the election, and it probably won't be the last. As Papa said, the system was put in place for a very valid reason.

You don't get to change the rules of the game because you lost. Get over it.

btw I did not vote for Trump, in fact his victory leaves me more genuinely frightened about the next 4 years than I've ever been. However, he is the President-elect, and I am trying to keep an open mind and wait to see what actually happens instead of running around clucking that the sky is falling.

While I'm certainly no fan of Trump (he's a thin skinned egomaniac) he does have the ability to lead and to get things done. I have far greater faith in his ability to stimulate economic development than I would if Hillary was President. The fact that the CIA is certain it was Russia who hacked the DNC does not hold much credibility with me. Once upon a time not too long ago they also said that Iraq had new stockpiles of WMD's.

There is an important distinction between the Iraq War intelligence and this one. The Iraq War intelligence was heavily doctored up and cherry-picked by an administration that was hell-bent on going to war at all costs. This one has no chance of being doctored, as the intelligence involves things that are directly tied to the United States' own domestic interests.

Here we see that Donald Trump is rejecting going to all Intelligence briefings (probably because most them might involve stuff about him :biggrin2:):

I don't need inteligence briefings because, like, I'ze is smart, youse know. Trump demonstrates his stupidity more and more since election. Look at his cabinet choices!

Did you know that the CIA has no directive or authority to conduct operations on US soil?

I think most know this and that is why they're (the CIA) are working with the FBI in this case. The job of the CIA is to draw intelligence, information from foreign sources and pass it on to federal authorities. Sometimes they get it right, sometimes wrong, I hope they find out the truth . Imo, Trumpty Dumpty is a Putin pawn and Dumpty's cabinet choices certainly point to his ass kissing Putin. They're two egomaniacal power hungry freaks, who have no one's interest at heart but themselves.
As far as his cabinet choices, Stephen King said it best.....

That's okay Papa if you don't, millions do:) Trumpty Dumpty needs to grow a set of balls, start acting like a grown man and stop denigrating agencies, businesses and people who disagree, challenge or question him. His childish antics are already old and he hasn't even entered the presidency yet. I hold little hope, I think his personality and cabinet picks are a clear indication of just how awful the next 4 years will be. Certainly the environment will suffer irreparable damage under his and those plunder monkeys rule:(

Going around attacking every defence contractor, one by one. First it was United Technologies (i.e. Carrier's parent), then it was Boeing (i.e. Air Force One), and now Lockheed. Is there any doubt that he's a Russian agent? :SayWhat?:
And they call Trump the conspiracy theorist. My goodness
