I get mine cleaned twice a year, would like to do it more, but my dentist says twice is sufficient.
My dog had hers done yesterday, had to have 6 teeth removed also. I'm thankful she made it through. It's been 5 yrs since they were last done, typically for her I was doing hers every 2 years. Other health issues with her and my other now deceased dog, prevented that.

Yes, damnit. And they spend less time in school, don't have crazy insurance premiums, and tend to let hygienists do all the work. I am soooooo jealous!

My ex was a dental hygienist and that's one reason she got me. Then she wouldn't let me check her cavity any more once the ring went on. That's one reason she's my ex.
