I for one do partake is this so called fad. I always have. See I am a foodie and to me food is something more then just something i scarf down. I like to remember certain foods , I like to recreate certain dishes and I like to share my experiences as well. SOme do this with cars , some with games or gadgets. To each their own and judge not. I am certain everyone has something that they do that others find strange, Like talking on hooker review boards for instance.

Yes - Plus I also beleive that food is becoming not only judged by its taste but by creative presentation. So in certain cases - it is interesting art.
