I own it immediately. There are very few things in this life I'm truly a master of so if I limit myself to those, it makes for a very boring existence. I'd rather have an opportunity to give it a try and maybe learn something than not participate incase it makes me looks foolish. If I have enough time to plan, learn, prepare, I'll prepare and do my best.
But I will tell the truth and face the music so to speak.
I had to teach a course I wasn't that familiar with and let the students know this not my strength, but impressed them with what I did know (which was considerably more than them).
