Made with Love

Whitney Houston, Superstar of Records, Films, Dies

A waste of life.....a waste.....blame everything otherS than looking at ones self to change....and sometimes you just have screwed it up too much and there is no going back....it can not be fix....

I have more sympathy for the hungry, poor, people in wars....
I am tired of hearing excuses for these people...they have the money to help themselves....
If they are artist and suffer depression etc....where are their family......Look at Spears family, she
got help.....a few others.....have gotten help......

Also ones body can only take so much......What a waste,,,,,,

xanax works great when you wash it down with Bahama Mamas

Early reports suggest that Whitney was taking Xanax while drinking alcohol and fell asleep in the bathtub. She was found with her head under water and her legs up out of the tub. Like she fell asleep and drifted down underwater.

"Whitney Houston was taking Xanax ... evidence she may have fallen asleep in the bathtub where she died ... TMZ has learned.

the night before Whitney died, she had been drinking a lot. Xanax mixed with alcohol can cause severe sedation, which could cause someone to fall asleep in a bathtub"

I didn't think we were arguing, I thought we were discussing?

I give you the cancer analogy, good point! No, I don't consider something to be a disease only if it contagious, I think my definition is more along the lines of something you didn't do to yourself. For eg: bungee jumping isn't a disease, running across the 401 isn't a disease, obesity isn't a disease as it is a direct result of your actions whether you can control them or not.

As Buzzsaw stated: you cannot be a crackhead unless you knowingly smoke crack (there is some argument as to whether you can become addicted the first time).

As for better minds, there are better minds that openly state that global warming isn't real either......just saying....

All I'm saying is that most medical professionals stopped thinking the way you do about the last time the Leafs won the cup. No offense but I think I value their opinions a little more that yours on this subject.

As far as it being a "cop out" I think this stems again from not understanding and wanting the person to take blame or responsibility for it. Kind of like having no sympathy for suicides because you don't think depression is a valid condition either. Its called mental illness for a reason There is not really much I can say to drag you guys ahead 20 or 30 years in your thinking. I just don't have the knowledge to express myself in a manner that would get you to change your mind. One hopes that at some point you will have the opportunity to discuss it with someone qualified whose opinion you value.

Lets see, she was talented, beautiful, had money and lets face it if she really wanted could certainly afford a few months at the Betty Ford Clinic and the best psychiatrists that money could buy.
Nope sorry, I just ain't feeling it.

Depression is a mental illness, not a disease though. For the record I fully support a person's right to end their suffering and NO one should be allowed to interfere with that right. I mean, we have the "right" to choose to have babies (make life), we are free to choose to take someone else's life (albeit with consequences), we are free to choose what we work at, what sports we play but yet we don't have the right to take our own life? bull fucking shit.

All I'm saying is that drug addiciton isn't a disease like cancer, aids, a cold etc. You have to consciously make a decision to partake in a substance that is chemically highly addictive and destructive in nature. You can't consciously decide to "get" cancer. You can't consciously decide to "get" a cold.....

I'll clarify: I have sympathy for people who have contracted cancer, I have no sympathy for people who are addicted to meth, heroin, coke, or crack.

or better yet, just not to crack......simple.

Put it another way, when I started smoking weed way WAY back (when you could get a mind blowing ounce for $30.00) I decided then and there: I wouldn't do chemicals. I'd do oil, hash, and weed. That's it. I had people hand me a table spoon full of thc. I had people pass around a bag of shrooms. I had people lay out lines of coke in front of me. I just said "no thanks". Easy. I wanted to. I really did want to try it. Even when I heard acid enabled you to hear colours and see sound (since I'm colour blind). I simply said "nope".

I've always wanted a 9 mm beretta. I had someone offer to get me one for $600.00. Said "no thanks"......

Easy.

Yup, agreed.

The official cause of death for Whitney Houston is drowning and "effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use," according to a report released Thursday by the L.A. County Department of the Coroner.

The report indicates that the Houston died when she was submerged in a bathtub filled with water, and also indicates that she had ingested cocaine.

Coroner spokesman Craig Harvey said in a news conference that level of cocaine in the singer's system indicated that she used the drug shortly before the accidental drowning, and that there were signs of "chronic usage."

TBoy, once you're addicted, then it's not your conscious controlling things. If you had a family member hooked on it, you might care more too.

Sometimes they won't listen to family. The addiction is more powerful than the love of a family sometimes. Ever watch Intervention? I had a cousin who was hooked on coke. His family did everything including supporting him in another country. He seemed to have stabilized, spoke a second language with a new job, got a GF, but he died young. Cardiac arrest. Perhaps the prior use made him more susceptible to that (he was also big and smoked).

We would not even be having this discussion if it was John or Jane next door......
I understand people have what is known as a addicting gene....can't remember.....
But the education on drugs etc.....from young to old.....
There are meds for this.......I think people should be screen for this...

Choices made has a teen does have an impact on you when you are older......
So if I think of it without any caring, she made her choice, enough education out
there for her to know what she was getting into. She had a daughter to be a
role model for.....she had a loving mom.....It makes me upset that she had a lot
and this is what she does with it.....I think of all the abused children, hungry ones etc..
they are worth more news than she is......I am sorry...that is my feelings....
