Made with Love

Whom would you invite to your hypothetical party?

The organizers are very good at only allowing good reputable people in attendance.

I consider all of my invitees to be good reputable people. I wouldn't want to invite bad disreputable people into my home. I tried that a few times here. It didn't sit well with me, but you were never, in any way, involved in any of those things.

I've never had nothing good I could say about you, and I mean that, sincerely, in the double negative way.

I selected twelve of the good reputable people group, but I couldn't invite them all.

You'd probably agree that, unlike you, Gary from The Ambiguously Gay Duo, does not necessarily deserve a spot on the Teen Titans roster, merely by being the associate of Ace, a gentleman older than himself, who drives a phallic shaped automobile.

That's only because Gary's in a designated group. The law now states that a minimum of 10% of all Super Hero and unlicensed Costumed crime fighters must now be gay, lesbian, transgendered, transsexual, or lacking genitalia altogether, because they're just picture stories in comic books; they can have sex between issues..

I'll invite blackram to receive CandyMan's invitation, which was politely declined, with plenty of advanced notice.

Having a thread about hypothetical parties on a board that hosts real parties may be too confusing for most, bito.

Thanks for the invite anyhow. I'll bring Tish. She breathes life into any party, for real or not.

An excellent choice, IfYouSeekAmy. I would want to point out that I don't really have a sauna, or an indoor swimming pool.

That was for the readers who think hypothetical is three words, without spaces between them.

Little Bobby, you do realize you are having an imaginary party for imaginary friends, right?

The people here are not real! I know it's a shock to you, but the personas portrayed on this board may not actually map to their personas in real life!

So, having a little make-believe party specifically so you can not invite members like myself, Papa, and others is kinda, well, creepy and also very sad.

It's time to go out from your basement and try to make some friends in 2015. Real ones, not just those in your mind.

Thank you Mr. Bobistheowl for inviting me and as my guest I'll bring Barbra. Do I need to bring a bathing suit??:girlkiss:

Only if you can't swim without it, Melanie. I don't know Barbra, but I'm sure she'd be a welcome addition.

I seriously would extend an open invitation to everyone from HUBGFE.

peace, imagine that you were the captain of a ship, with 50 people aboard. there are five life boats, each of which can safely hold ten people. The boat is attacked by a North Korean airplane, which puts a hole in the boat, and takes out three of the life boats, before one of our planes takes out the North Korean plane. The boat is sinking. There's an uninhabited island that can be seen, a mile away. The water is infested with sharks.

There are five crew members, including yourself, four men and one women. The passengers are 12 adult men, aged 21-55, 12 adult women of the same ages, 4 men and and 4 women aged 60 or older, and 13 children aged 5-16, six girls, seven boys.

I would not be confident that you would select the right 20 people to go in the two remaining life boats.

I'd stay on board, even if selected, and take my chances, swimming to shore. I'd even try to bring a few people with me, if they remained calm. I wouldn't let a panicking person drag me under, but I'd be happy to die, fighting a shark so that a few of the others could make it to shore.

So would anyone, who'd read and understood Robert A Heinlein's 1959 novel, Starship Troopers.

My guess is that the sharks would not be able to keep up with the frenzied tsunami of 49 hysterical men, women and children deliberately jumping into their gaping mouths to escape being stranded on a desert island with bob.

Interesting scenario Bob but since we are speaking hypothetically here, then I shall do the same. I would rescue them all using my supernatural hugging power and somehow miraculously teach those sharks to be as gentle as whale sharks. :great:

Odd

I would have expected Robin to call on his Aqua buddy to bring Dolphins in to save all the people.
But Peace's solution is far more creative.

:YMAPPLAUSE:Praise-Bowing

hahaha cute ;)

Thanks for the invite BITO .. I'm bringing Louis XIV

:YMPARTY:

Great idea, Miss Jessica Lee. Nothing sparks good conversation like differing opinions. I gave Louis XIV a pardon in Festivus - Airing of the Grievances thread - a good read.I have no beef with him at present. He's entertaining, when he's trolling other people.

Do you find him entertaining when he's trolling you, Bob?

Hey, somebody better invite me, who wouldn't want to have a prick as a partner?
