yes she's married and not only is she a good person for saving those people but did you notice?

There's a muzzle on the dog.....

Inside joke?

No, in the thread about the woman who was mauled to death by 4 pitbulls, I bring up the topic of proper dog ownership. I also brought it up in the one where the yorkie was shot. A muzzle solves a WHOLE whack of issues with owning a dog in the city. A) they can't bite anyone and B) they can't bark.

A good owner will muzzle their dog whenever they are out in public. It doesn't hurt the dog, it doesn't prevent it from eating or drinking or cleaning its nose. It does nothing harmful in any way shape or form to the dog but prevents ALL issues when the dog encounters someone.....Even a pitbull is pretty much harmless with a muzzle on. Other than possible scratches, it can't harm you......just think of how many hundreds of lives could have been saved if pit owners would just muzzle them? (and think of how many dog's lives could have been saved?)

Good to see they are getting rewarded but I think they would appreciate a T-bone steak better.

and a related story; turning foxes into dogs

and a related story; turning foxes into dogs

An interesting piece of research where foxes were specifically bred for domestication. It worked and the bizarre thing (to me) is as the foxes became more domesticated (more like dogs) they started to look more like dogs and less like foxes. Keep in mind they were bred for behavior not looks; the change in appearance just happened.

It's a long article

Too long but thanks anyway.

Well the part I found interesting is that there appears to be genetic traits common to all domesticated animals; a domesticated gene. Key among these physical traits is a mottled fur pattered and floppy ears.

And when though selective breading, they were successful in "developing" domesticated foxes they ended up looking more like dogs (with floppy ears and mottled coats).

Similar like when owners and dogs begin to look the same :go:
