More cops suspended with pay. This becoming an epidemic or what?.

''The man arrested, Cortez Bufford, is claiming excessive force.
St. Louis police say they pulled over Bufford and a passenger on April 10, 2014, after his car matched a description to a shots fired call.''

''During the struggle police found a 9mm pistol, 5 live rounds, and marijuana on Bufford.''

Yep I'm sure the driver and the passenger are just family guys on their way to church.

Two sides to every story.

Second Amendment but no most Americans are not constantly armed.

Hard to trust them these days. Looks like they all took a hatred pill and paying back.

Having a gun does not matter in this situation. The intent and for what purpose did the cop feel the need to shut the camera down even for a minute.

Video captures exact moment two police officers were shot last night in Ferguson

In an amateur video that captures the exact moment when two officers were shot in front of the Ferguson Police Department early Thursday, you can hear what sounded like a relatively calm protest cut instantly with a note of panic.

In the video, an unidentified woman is filming the protest when the gunshots are heard. This is then followed by what sounds like groaning and then a taunt from the crowd (it’s unclear if the taunter knew anyone had been hit when he yelled out).

The woman shooting the video lets out an expletive and explains that the police now have guns drawn pointing at the crowd. In the moments after the AP version video finishes, she also checks on her friend then stares in incredulity as she realizes he has not stopped grilling on his barbecue.

A 32-year-old officer from nearby Webster Groves was shot in the face and a 41-year-old officer from St. Louis County was shot in the shoulder, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said at a news conference. Both were taken to a hospital, where Belmar said they were conscious. He said he did not have further details about their conditions but described their injuries as “serious.”

This is really really bad news. American friends, time to wear your body protector.

So, let's see.

EVERYONE finally is talking about the real problem.....the courts and the harassment of impoverished residents all in the name of revenue.
3 racist cops are out...fired summarily due to their racist emails

The chief, who by all accounts was trying to make some headway with the African American community....up until the media decided to stop acknowledging that...has resigned as captain of the ship.

The City Administrator, where I think the bulk of the problems stem from (not him personally, just the job he's hired to do and the expectations put upon him as a city administrator of a shitass north county municipality) is out....

The state has stepped in to adjudicate these citations and shit the city is using to soak their residents.
Other shit-ass municipalities are looking at the same effort.

For instance. Nearby Pine Lawn. Which is way smaller and way shittier with way more revenue problems.....some residents have started to demand a similar Justice Department study.

I'm just not sure it will get that far being that the guy who oversees the police department in Pine Lawn is also a lawyer for the Brown family and signed off on a way sketchier shooting of an unarmed black male just 3 months before Brown.

Further, their sneaky ass speeding cameras that even the DOT has said at times were illegal, have doubled the city's revenues in the last 18 months and interestingly enough the mayor and board's salaries are now 6 digits or more. But, since they're all black, I don't think we'll see much clamor for change there except for a lone voice or two.

The right things are happening, except the media is distracted and dumb as fuck. They could have everyone in this town on the same page. Demanding change to these shit-ass municipalities. Because, in the end....it's not about race.

It's about money. The reason most of the stops, detentions and citations are African American is because the PD has to spend an inordinate amount of time and manpower in the area in which they are concentrated. There are shots fired just about every other day in that area. So, yeah, the cops are where the problems are at. I can absolutely guarantee you that if there was that volume of crime in a concentrated area where white people in Ferguson lived, they'd be doing the same thing. Soaking white people instead of black people.

In St. Louis, we have a term...."hoosier". Has nothing to do with Indiana. It's more like "urban redneck", but not quite so redneck. If you drive a Carmaro/Transam/Firechicken, have a mullet, a mustache with no beard, feathered hair, listen to K-SHE, and generally look like you stepped off the cover of a Thin Lizzy album....you're a hoosier.

Any non-hoosier racist will hate a hoosier more than even a black person. If Ferguson PD had to spend that kind of manhours in a high concentration of a hoosier part of town, they'd be soaked worse than the African American community, since more of them are employed. Although, your wait times at Jiffy Lube would all go up, because they'd always be short employees who were in jail.

By this post I can only conclude you support the shooting of the Officers.

Not cool at all.

No it's not cool papa. And I'm not condoning this either ridiculous behavior either.

But there are those that are taking a page out of the NRA/Gun Lobby Handbook and claiming that you can't blame the people who shot the cops. That this is the 2nd Amendment at work in that an armed populace is necessary to counter the tyranny of an unjust government. The black feel persecuted and the Justice Department Report supports that conclusion. The behavior of some of the Town officials support that conclusion as well. Well....people are taking matters into their own hands. With the prevelence of your own gun culture I can't say I'm surprised.

There is enough farking stupidity to go around in this situation.

I have heard that argument but the reality is this is meant to insight deep racial tensions.
It is out of a handbook written by people with the most to gain by a deep racial divide in America.

Both cops are out of danger. One bullet went through his back and the other just missing his eye.

Of course it is but that is the reality you and I see. That may not be the reality to those that are directly affected by this situation.

That is also true but if nothing is done to bridge the divide in a constructive manner apart from saying "everything is fine it's the blacks not the whites," then how do you expect anyone to act with any shred of decency. Your country is already divided. There are those that say there is a problem and while other refuse to talk about it.

Eventually shit will happen.
