Obama says he had 'excellent' conversation with Trump at White House

President Barack Obama met with his successor Donald Trump at the White House today, and said they had an "excellent" and "wide-ranging" conversation.

Obama and Trump were in the Oval Office in Washington for more than an hour to discuss the transition of power, following the U.S. election Tuesday that saw the businessman and reality TV star land the top job in his foray into politics.

Obama said he was encouraged by Trump wanting to work with his team on issues facing the country, and that it's important for all "to now come together."

Later, Trump will go to Capitol Hill to talk with congressional leaders about the Republicans' legislative agenda for next year.

Trump's motorcade took a South Lawn entrance into the White House, out of view of television cameras. The full transition of power will officially take place on Jan. 20.

Trump refused to let a group of journalists travel with him to cover his historic first meeting with Obama, breaking a long-standing practice intended to ensure the public has a watchful eye on the nation's leader.

Trump flew from New York to Washington on his private jet without that "pool" of reporters, photographers and television cameras that have travelled with presidents and presidents-elect. Trump's flouting of press access was one of his first public decisions since his election Tuesday.

Trump's meeting with Obama was recorded by the pool of White House reporters, photographers and TV cameras who cover the president.

Do you have access to nukes? If not, then be as rude, crude and vulgar as you like.

Actually, it's not even so much that he's rude or vulgar, I actually like that, but what's really worrying is his fragile ego. If he gets set off by a negative tweet, he's going to be dangerous.

Melody, none of us knows how he actually treats his exs, but if I remember correctly, Ivanna, might not agree with your statement. Him having daughters obviously hasn't taught him to be respectful towards women, that has been proven, to many voice and video clips out there, that can't be debunked! In my eyes he hasn't done much of a job with his sons either, both are huge trophy-canned hunters with little respect towards nature or the environment.So him having children doesn't mean he cares to have a better country or that he'll make it so for them. He is a man too invested in himself, he will do what he wants, regardless. As far as you having two sides, well most people do, but having two sides doesn't mean a person is a misogynist, a racist, hypocrite or volatile. These traits he does have, those too, cannot be disputed, and those are not the qualities that make a good or even mediocre leader. He's anti gay, anti abortion, anti immigrant, anti environment, for Christ sake, he said global warming is a hoax!! As far as I'm concerned he's anti humanity, can't stand him, even if he were to save all the pitbulls of the world, I'd still despise him and think him to be the worst of the two choices, regardless of Clintons flaws, crimes, etc.:(

I heard what came out of his lips, it's on tape, the media didn't create that, sad to say. I'm done on the subject, time will tell and I assure you it will be telling:)

I did not forget I was posting the photo.......I leave it open to discussion and welcome it.

For me to assume I have the only correct way of thinking is to belittle those I share with.
 
The next 4 years is going to be better than the Rob Ford era and I'll guarantee Donald J. Trump will be far from politically correct. We are about to see the most entertaining reality TV ever, I can feel it in my bones.
