'don't dress like a whore'

As for this guy grabbing a woman's buns, I bet the italians are laughing their ass off at this......(the ones in italy, not the ones on st clair or in woodbridge). BTW madman, if a woman pinched your bum would you call the police and have her arrested?

I am constantly asking ladies if they wouldn't mind pinching my bum and I always get the deer caught in a headlight look!

I don't understand it I think I have a nice round bum!

I think I'm going to have to follow a 1's lead and start going after the one's I can later claim" I've done worse!":biggrin2:

Rape is about power not sex.

In Canada, it is equivalent to rape.

One point that I would like to make is was Krista Ford looking for publicity (good or bad) who knows.

Don't dress like a whore could mean different things to different cultures and religions. Simply, it's wrong for anyone to force other into a sexual scenario regardless of attire, and often attire has absolutely nothing to do with attacks. If society wants such things to stop then sexualizing television, television commercials, magazines, movies, sporting events, beauty pageants and so on need to cease as does all clothing advertising.

I think more than attire that it should be stated about staying safe, taking a taxi, carpooling, location (surroundings) and so on. Sick people are simply looking for an opportunity, they don't care who it is, just the vulnerability level.

for the record hof, sexual assault and the link you posted for aggravated sexual assault are still two different things.....just clarifying....

Madman: you didn't answer my question: would you go screaming to the police if a woman pinched your bum....(btw, a woman once grabbed my crotch full handed and while it shocked me, I didn't feel I had to go running to the police.....and no, it wasn't a girlfriend but we did know each other).

Yes hof, carpooling taking a cab, staying out of dark places, wearing less revealing clothing, all part of staying safe....

A girl once whipped out my joint in the middle of a dance floor and BBBJCIM without asking me.
It's scarred me ever since.

I can't go near a dance floor without getting wood anymore.

I don't think most men would call the cops if a woman grabbed their bum. Women react differently, because we have to worry about being sexually assaulted, which most men don't worry about.

It's a different mindset when you are prey.

The links are to three separate laws.

1. Aggravated sexual assault
2. Thrid party sexual assault
3. Sexual assault

It would depend on the woman!:biggrin2:

a couple of errors in your post:
1) a woman pinching or grabbing a man's bum is no different than a man pinching or grabbing a woman's bum...both are sexual assault.
2) men are raped too, I think bliss's stats indicated 10% of sexual assaults are against males
3) if you think of yourself as prey, you will be. What you do is take steps to prevent yourself from being preyed upon. Like: don't take a ground floor apartment (hehehe), walk in only well populated well lit areas after dark, don't share cabs with strangers, don't pick up strange men in bars, don't dress like a whore, don't drink to excess while out on the town, don't leave your drink unattended, don't live in questionable areas etc etc but then, all those precautions can also be applied to men too.....

It would depend on the woman!:biggrin2:

I think it would depend on the man as well....is the woman interested in the man? has she been flirting with him all night? has she been trying to "pick him up"? Is he someone she's attracted to?

Like that article where the woman stated that she hated that guys looked at her boobs when she wore a low cut top: you cannot control who you attract when you dress or act to attract. So,imo, it is better to not attract any attention than unwanted attention.....

I had a yard sale this weekend and while saturday was busy, yesterday was dead....about 30 minutes between customers (so I had lots of time to think of shit...) and yes, I was thinking about this and how Bliss went ballistic because someone dared to suggest how a woman might or might not dress.

As bliss has so aptly misunderstood the suggestions as "someone telling women how to do something" here are a few examples of where "suggestions" are applied to other things we all do everyday:

When we ride motorcycles, by LAW we have to wear a helmet. HOW DARE SOMEONE TELL US WHAT TO WEAR
When we work construction, by LAW we have to wear a hard hat and safety boots and in some cases, we can't wear shorts...HOW DARE SOMEONE TELL US WHAT TO WEAR
When we go swimming in a public pool, we have to wear a bathing suit HOW DARE SOMEONE TELL US WHAT TO WEAR
When iron workers are building the skeleton of a skyscraper, they have to wear a harness HOW DARE SOMEONE TELL US WHAT TO WEAR
When we eat in certain restaurants, we have to wear a jacket and tie HOW DARE SOMEONE TELL US WHAT TO WEAR

I could go on and on and maybe if I did, Bliss would finally get it...no one is telling anyone what to or what not to wear, they are suggesting that it might be prudent to not dress a certain way.

You are free to walk where you want, dress how you want, act how you want, drink as much as you want...but as with everything, there are consequences. Take speeding for example: you might get away with it 9 times out of 10, but sooner or later, do it enough and you'll get a ticket. You're free to do that but the consequence is you will probably get a ticket. Just like dressing like a whore. 9 times out of 10 you'll probably make it home safe.....but the 10th time? you might not be so lucky....so I say: why risk it? Is dressing like a whore THAT important to you?

By all means, if you feel the NEED to dress like a whore, I say GO FOR IT

Tboy, I did answer your question several posts ago. I will say it again -I CRAVE MY BUM BEING PINCHED BY A LADY, heck if one grabs my crotch I'm asking her to marry me! :biggrin2:

1. Agreed. I never said it wasn't.
2. Agreed. I never said they weren't. However I don't think it's as common as women being raped.
3. A woman who doesn't understand that she's prey won't take the precautions you suggest, most of which I agree with.

I have a kickass slinky red dress hanging in my closet that would certainly qualify as dressing like a whore. It looks like a million bucks on me, and I've never worn it in public. 99% of the time I dress in public like a frumpy librarian, and the other 1% I am not alone.

Next month I'm going out to Kitty Hawk to visit with a friend from up north who will be on vacation. I was thinking instead of driving home same-day I would get a room on the beach on Nags Head. I love the beach at night, and it bums me out a little that I won't be able to go for a walk on it because I"ll be alone.

I think the reason I react so strongly to the whole "don't dress like a whore" thing is because I'm old enough to remember the days when "what were you wearing" was one of the first questions cops would ask when a rape was reported. Short skirt? Low-cut blouse? You asked for it.

I don't think it's like that so much now, but I think womens' concern about being blamed for it still keeps a lot of rapes from being reported.

Still does not matter what you wear......women get raped wearing cloths......
They can be revealing or dirty and stinky......
Once again blame the victim........How do account for women being rape in berkas...
Or rape wearing clothes like men.....And tboy most women get rape by people they
know...at home....by family member......are most women wearing clothing that
men find slutty........Who to state what slutty is.....

When men are Raped by men, are you stating now that Men should stop wearing Slutty things
that these men are asking for it because of their clothing.....That men should stay out of dark areas, not go out at night, carpool, that men should not live in ground floor apartments.....that men should not pick up strangers, men or women when they go out.....

Is the person doing the Rape, do they have the freedom to do what they want, go where they want, live where they want, but the Victims have to be always on guard....all men and women....Why even charge the Rapist why not charge the Victim, oh, I forgot they do in other countries.....

Instead of looking at your response with a woman, why not change it to the 10% of males being raped......or children.....We always focus on Women why because Here not like other Countries Women Have Voices.......
