Lindsay Lohan made the decision to pose for Playboy because of anxiety over her finances, it is reported.
The 25-year-old apparently wrapped up a four-day shoot for the men’s magazine yesterday where she was paid close to $1 million.
RadarOnline claims that the troubled starlet decided to do the spread because she is worried about her finances if she is sent to jail.
Lindsay is facing up to 18 months behind bars if she is found to be in violation of her probation at a hearing on November 2.
Her appearance before Judge Stephanie Sautner stems from her not showing up nine times to a Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles as part of her court-mandated community service.
She had pleaded no contest to stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewellery store in Venice, California earlier this year.
“Lindsay still hasn’t signed her contract to be in the John Gotti biopic. Lindsay is extremely concerned about her finances and she needs the money,” a source told the site.
“Lindsay’s flow of income has been greatly diminished in the last year. With the possibility of being sent back to jail for over a year, she felt that now was the time to do the Playboy photoshoot.”
Judge Sautner was so annoyed at Lindsay’s progress in her community service that she ordered the Mean Girls star to undertake at least 16 hours a week of work at the morgue where she will be scrubbing toilets and cleaning up after autopsies.
