Ever since the word C*nt was used I have been wondering about
the difference between Men and Women Swearing....and find material
on it.....

  • According to a "Psychology Today" article published in July 2010, there has been an increase in the number of women using taboo language in public. In 1996, 67 percent of men, compared to 33 percent of women used profanity in public. In 2006, 55 percent of males and 45 percent of females were reported to swear in public. Relaxed standards in the media and popular culture have led to an increase in the use of profanity, across the board.

  • Comedians have driven the acceptability of swear words. In 1972, George Carlin became famous for his list of "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television." Female comediennes now use profanity as often as their male counterparts. Joan Rivers was asked to leave a United Kingdom live television program in 2008 for using profanity.

Which swear word to you feel is the King or Queen of Swear Words.....

It is indeed a fearsome threat.

I never swear. It shows a real lack of class and education.

But the middle finger comes in handy from time to time, lol.

I agree, I do not like it......when I walk pass a man or woman swearing and they
have a child in tow....All I can do is shake my head....

I agree completely; however, I believe there are appropriate times to use curse words and that is proven it literature. When I use curse words on here, it would be in a review to emphasize the acts and wherever I can use the word CUNT! :wink2:

Any man or woman using foul language in public demonstrates their lack of class and education.

Isn't it a double standard. When women swear all say that is not cool, classy or so unfeminine. When men swear they jut say he is rude and brainless.

The cynic in me points out that any time you compare men and women anything, there's a double standard.

I swear for effect. And I like to use effects.

I try to refrain from using swear words but HOF, the use of that word is quite offensive to me when its used flippantly like that.

Yes the usage of swear words has become extremely common and in some cases it has become too common that its losing its effect.

If you can carry on a conversation without the use of the f bomb, its shows that you're conveying respect towards the person you are conversing with. But it does not denote class, class is conducting your physical and verbal self eloquently.I've seen some destitute people conduct themselves with more class than most mufti-millionaires.

Bazerko I know a number of men and women on the board and they would likely tell you that I conduct myself with class. I swear. And I am educated. I have a doctorate. Just keep trolling

I've also got a bunch of schooling, although not much class, and mostly make my (meagre) living talking at people. I'll sometimes swear for effect. I've only ever had one complaint and it wasn't taken very seriously given other reviews. I should be a bit more careful though; it's the kind of thing that could be used against me if someone higher on the food chain were so inclined.

I'm as dumb as a stump and proud of it but I did go to York for 4 years which is really much more than you need to know for fuck's sake LOL.

I will take the high ground and ignore your trolling comment on this occasion. Please do tell what your doctorate is if you are comfortable to do so and am I too assume you are a professor in one of our fabulous higher schools of learning? I realize these are personal questions and by all means I totally understand if you prefer to not answer them.

LMAO This is too funny. I don't like to swear either but sometimes I say "SHIT."

Don't forget the "hidden agenda" too.

I believe I asked you if you were educated in the U.S. once and you never replied.

How about a response Baz?

I realize this is a personal question and I totally understand if you don't want to answer it.
