When someone does poorly in college....let's say they go drinking all the time, skip classes and never study. We say it is their own fault.
When someone does well in college...they study hard, attend every class, participate in discussions, and seek help from the instructors...we praise them.
Under those two categories are also people who do poorly because they just don't have the skills to succeed in college and there are others that are just blessed with memory retention and recollection and other natural skills.
We don't look at any of these people and say that those who do well are doing so to the detriment of others. We don't give a pass to those who don't do the work or just can't pass the "tests".
So why is it that when we look at financial success, we can't accept that some people don't put in the effort to do well, or don't have the skills to do well. Others do have the luck, skills and work ethics to succeed. And yet when it comes to finances we seem to come up for all sorts of reasons why those who do poorly need to be helped and those who do well need to be punished. People argue that we need to take from the rich to give to the poor. People suggest that the rich have even stolen from the poor somehow. Are grades and finances so different? I don't think so.
Anyone like the latest update for Chome??!! Damn-Not too smart:grrrrrr:
I hate the way it looks now. The font sizing and spacing is messed up.
I thought there was something wrong with my computer yesterday so tried to re-install Chrome and things got progressively worse due to some kind of update error. Finally installed Firefox again so I could uninstall, then re-install Chrome and still hate it!
:shout:
Something I have to upgrade to?.
Chrome looks the same to me.
