I would rather listen to parents who have children in grade schools, than uninformed teachers.

Just to educate you a little, teachers did NOT revise the curriculum, teachers did NOT hand out questionnaires to find out how parents felt about the subject, they do NOT have a clue as to how all parents feel about the subject.

And, non civil servant parents cannot take one of the many "sick days" off that teachers have, when they want to keep their kids out of school, so the idiotic notion that just because some parents did not take their kids out of school, does NOT equal agreement with the new curriculum, but is a good example of the intellect of Fiberal and Socialist Dipper voters.

And just what has Mr. Dress Up done to revise the content in bill C36, NOTHING, of coarse when your party leader is more interested in photo ops, than showing any real guts, what would one expect.

My point is, the Looney left Fiberals, the socialist Dippers, and their sheeple, have been stating that the Ont. PC are going to use a curriculum dated 1998, when in FACT, it is the exact same curriculum that the Fiberals used in 2014.

According to the Fiberals, and the socialist Dippers, the curriculum used by the Fiberals in 2014, was NOT outdated in 2014, but less than 4 years later, was completely useless, just what the hell changed in less than 4 years, regarding sexual subjects that need to be taught to grade school children.

I too, agree that parents should have more of a say in what their child learns about sex; therefore, should be allowed to have their children to stay home during classes OR have different levels of sex ed taught then let parents choose.

CONSENT is the one thing I cannot overlook in Ford’s decision to repeal the current curriculum. It is the age in which we teach “DON’T GET RAPED” instead of “DON’T RAPE”.

First - the PCs made a very good point when Andrea posed the question about explaining the need for further consult.

First - the "surgery" sent out to 4000 parents(1per school) only has like 1600 returned and the parent was chosen by each individual school. So not really a good census of what parents actually want.

Second - PCs were elected. Not NDP. Both had a chance to state their cases for what they would do. This was on the PCs agenda from the beginning so it is not a surprise. Which means that YES, more people in Ontario want to change the curriculum. This is what the majority of people want. And sadly the issue is mainly around LGTBQ community issues. PCs have already said that things like consent will not be taken out of the new curriculum.

Third - parents want an enforced right to refuse. This is not happening. Too many teachers, sorry but being fucking lazy, not sending Home permission forms for sex Ed. Which is how it used to be.

So while everyone in the media wants to harp on things, all they are doing is causing an uproar about shit that is a) not representing what the majority voted for and b) focusing on issues that are not actually an issue, like the stuff about consent.

Lastly, having an 8yr old speaking in a protest is just stupid all the way around. This child doesn't understand at all what is going on and is being paraded around. Honestly, it is that type of shot that disgusts me and makes me not even want to bother hearing the other side.
