What type of music do you play fugg?
I spread myself out in genres. I'm writing progressive with one group. Adult contemporary and rock originals with another. Doing gigs with a classic rock cover band at the moment.
The studio time was with a hip hop artist. He wanted to experiment with transition music between tracks and wanted a different feel than his touring drummer and other studio drummers he's worked with. My friend is the guitar player on some of his tracks so he recommended me. I had a top 10 band I worked with back in the 80's. My 15 minutes of fame.
I play drums and other percussion instruments like chimes, glockenspiel, xylophone etc.
I also play guitar, bass and teaching myself keys.
I do a lot of the back up vocals during gigs and recording and take the lead on a couple of tunes when gigging.
My point of my opening thread was that I could never be so involved in my music when I was in a relationship. It killed me because it stalled my music for almost 2 decades after the top 10 band and radio play and tour. I was pressured in to not being so involved and made to feel guilty. I was young and didn't know any better than to put what was important to me first.
Even when the future ladies told me they supported me in my music, I was always given the stink eye because I don't think they realized how badly and how much of a passion I had for playing, not necessarily to make it a career but it's something I enjoy and is a big part of my life.

We are all so different. I'm no good at being coupled, I dislike it and find it suffocating. Although I used to dislike doing some things alone, like going to movies, dining out, now I love and prefer it. Solitude is my friend
