The hourly rate of a TTC driver after serving 30 months is 26.58 with a chest full of decent benefits which were fought for by giving up pay during hard negotiations.

I actually pay 4 of my employees more than that Tassume, sorry I meant Tboy.

Would you work most of your life for approximately $52,000.00 a year without added overtime? You think with todays standard of living $52,000.00 a year allows you to live a life of luxury? I know it's not enough for me. I would die earning only 52K a year and even if you add another 30k. in overtime. DUDE I wouldn't want to drive a bus 10 hours a day to make 80k. but that's me. You're complaining about $35 an HOUR? Holme's crew is what, 10 guys? The minimum each is $25 per helper, holmes is $250 an hour, plus materials. The job your contractor would do for $1000.00 Holmes would charge $10,000.00.

Oh, FYI? I worked corporate for $52K a year putting in on average of 80 hrs a week and sometimes over 100...so, blow it out your ass.....

Once again: put up or shut up. You are so in defence of your union buddies, HIRE THEM otherwise STFU already.

I'm not far but I do have a life you know! I wasn't hugging a TTC driver but that's only because I couldn't find a hot looking woman bus driver. I was though pissing on my contractor. You are a hammer head and you should really find unionized work, at least the extra hours are at time and a half or even double time sometimes.

When an operator makes over that it's called, now try to understand and comprehend what I'm about to tell you, IT's called OVERTIME. That's time and a half if a worker goes over his/hers 40-44 hour work week. It's something you obviously never had the pleasure of partaking in and it's made you a very angry little man.

As for good benefit packages, retirement plans and uniforms paid for um YEAH, that's why some people are enticed to the job rather than opening up or working in a convenience store,or even worse working as a schlep contractor, DOH!
