Maybe the time will come when the board's administration comes to the epiphany that not everything posted to an escort review board will always be puppies, unicorns and kittens, and that maybe, just maybe, real-time integration of discussion threads with social media without dedicated real-time moderation isn't such a brilliant idea.

In terms of what HUBGFE is supposed to be...this is a very good question. I'd love to know the answer to THAT question. Is this a board who's primary purpose is the posting of escort reviews? Is it's primary purpose to be an advertising platform for providers? Is it supposed to be an industry-centric discussion forum? Anyone with a brain and even some cursory experience with this industry and ERB's knows that balanced co-existence of these things is fantasy if you want your board to be successful in some manner.

What do the membership here think HUBGFE's 'core business' should be, regardless of the friendly/antagonistic nature of the community?

I can't speak for the owners, mods or other members. I can only speak for myself. I come here to share my experiences in the hobby and have frank open yet respectful dialogues with other people on subjects that can easily be considered lewd or inappropriate in other places. We can have these discussions without having to resort to derogatory slurs, personal attacks or bigotism. Yes, there will always be keyboard warriors who think their anonimty gives them the right, the power, the freedom to say what they want. But we should all remember that behind the screen, there's a real person reading these words. There's a real person who can be hurt. There's a real person who can be traumatized.

We recently had a potentially touchy subject with respect to the words "sexually assaulted". For the most part, I think all participants handled themselves very well and respect was given and maintained. In this case, we had a member who refused to play nice and insisted on maintaining his cranky persona. There are other boards that not only welcome that sort of behavior, but encourages it as well. There are also unmoderated forums out there too. I like HUBGFE because I have some level of assurance that I can speak my piece, and that if I extend my trust and respect, they will be returned.

As for core business, as far as I know, the advertisers pay the bills to keep the lights running. The members visit the advertisers to have sex with the SPs. Reviewers write reviews to share experiences. Its a basic circle, one that we are all a part of. We all support this biz in our own way. Will the biz survive without reviewers? Of course. Will guys still book dates? Of course. There are other avenues and alternatives, but when all the pieces come together, that's when we have something special.
