But there's a danger in that way of thinking. First, what if they disagree with your definitions of what are slurs or hate speech? These terms are constantly in flux it seems. What is acceptable under one political party is banned under another political party's control. Is that the way we want to see things working. You keep hearing people make arguments based on facts not being facts....that truth is based on the eye of the beholder. So you end up with people applying these "rules" arbitrarily based on the variables of the situation and you can end up with injustice.

For example, statements against minority groups are hate speech....but the same kinds of generalizations and negative remarks against the majority group are acceptable. It seems to me that regardless of history, if you want justice, the rules have to apply to each person equally. If it's not okay for a man to strike a woman, then it's not okay for a woman to strike a man.

So anyway....treat others how you want to be treated. Don't insult people and then bitch if they insult you back. Don't use offensive terms and then complain if they use offensive terms with you....etc. (This is to everyone....not anyone in particular).

As for the ownership.....it's your board.....do with it as you wish.

It is not hard to figure out what is hate speech.

I object to the homosexual slurs used here. I would be equally against heterosexual slurs as well. I don't use them.
