I was expecting a more entertaining response I guess.
In that case I apologize...

Rice milk? Regular milk makes me sick, I wonder if rice milk would. But I thought Maurice said cereal is not good?

Pancakes are delicious, I'm not giving them up. I have cut down on how often I eat them though. Twice a day seemed like a bit much.

A cupcake right now could set off a 10,000 calorie binge, I can't chance it.

Even the extraordinary EyeCandy couldn't keep me on the elliptical past a mile this morning. Now I'm looking at the mat and the hoop wishing abs would do themselves. I am getting definition back in my arms, so that's encouraging.

My InnerFatGirl is not happy this morning.

Pancakes are of course one of the worst possible choices you could make. Your pancreas will hate you for all the insulin that will be released to control your blood sugar. Adult onset diabetes here we come. How do you feel about daily insulin injections?

Yes cereal isn't real food and don't by into the fiber argument because it is not digestible and prevents nutrients from being absorbed by your body.

Soy milk doesn't have the amino acid profile of it's animal counterpart.

I fail to see the humour in my post.

Feel free to point it out.

Not humorous at all, I said "or taken lightly"...

It was this this statement:

Adult onset diabetes here we come. How do you feel about daily insulin injections?

Sounds rather flippant... Sometimes its difficult to tell when you are being serious or not.

I didn't realize pancakes are so horrible. sigh...it will sadden me, but I'll take them off the menu.

I don't have to be happy about it, though.

Does it matter in what order I do exercises? I did everything this morning, and I was wondering if it would help to change the order.

Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it.

Your question is kind of vague but I'll try my best.

I suspect that your primary focus is on looking and feeling better so order wouldn't be of a great concern.

If however sports performance was your objective then the answer would be different.

PM me your routine if you would like and I will see where I can be of help.

The only thing I can remember related to the "order" of exercises is to do big muscle groups first then work down to more specifics. For example...do squats before leg extensions and hamstring curls. Other than that, I can't recall anything about the order of exercises.

If you care about how much weight you can squat yes doing the other exercises first will impede your squating performance.

But if your just trying to gain a little muscle and reduce body fat then it most likely doesn't matter much and is tantamount to splitting hairs.

Aldo Roy a Canadian Olympic lifting to coach used to have his athletes start their routine with squats and finish their routine with squats. Doing all other exercises in between.

Vince Gironda didn't believe in squats at all preferring leg presses.

Charles Polloquin states that all leg extension machines should be removes from all gyms.

There is a lot of varied theories out there that is for sure.

Allow me to "inject" my thoughts into the arena of Type 2 diabetes. Your beta cells will not throw up their Langerhans and give up on the appearance of a pancake. Like all things, moderation is the key. Sorry, don't mean to be "needling" this "point" excessively.
Contributing factors (not causes) to adult onset diabetes.

Obesity
Genetics
Diet high in fat
High blood pressure
Age
Sedentary lifestyle

Majority of persons with Type 2 diabetes control it with exercise, oral medication and diet.

...and the shots aren't that bad, and can be an awesome tool around squeamish people....

Thanks for a voice of reason OB. Sounds like you have experience with this sorta thing, rather than just idol speculation.

I'll never understand this attitude. If it doesn't contribute to optimal health and the individual is complaining about their well being then why bother with this mind set.

I'll say it again diets high in saturated fat are not the problem. It's starchy carbs and sugar which you have failed to mention.

I have seen many type 2's that did not need medication once they adhered to a stricter diet and started a sensible exercise program.

In my experience adult on set is just the tip of the iceberg and needs to be dealt with immediately.

This post just proves that It's hard to get the big picture when you have such a small screen.

Noted... with thanks.

Not disputing that, but a few pancakes now and again isn't the root cause. Total lack of diet control and a lack of regular exercise and a few other mitigating factors is.

My sister had diabetes (Type 1), and my father is now working through his (type 2) through diet and exercise, and this was also one of the motivating factors in getting my own situation back on track 5 years ago.

Whats your experience with diabetes?

MAurice and CG...how about those bro-hugs....ofc no ass grabbing allowed. :)

Meanwhile, have you tried the rice milk sillygirl...
