Accuser Says Bill Cosby Should Admit He Sexually Assaulted Women – and Apologize

I still dont think any of these women know the difference between rape and consensual sex. Im sure he lied to them all in order to fuck them, but the ones that have said he drugged them / physically raped them seem to come off as bitter liars who were angry he never made them into superstars.

I agree with you.

Convicted in the court of public opinion.

He already lost the fight.

Bill Cosby sues latest sex abuse accuser

Embattled comedian Bill Cosby has filed suit against a woman who has accused him of sexually assaulting her at the Playboy Mansion in California when she was 15.
The funnyman, who has refused to address any of the decades-old sexual misconduct allegations brought against him in the past month, is suing Judy Huth, who claims he got her drunk and then had sex with her in 1974.

Cosby insists she's a liar who attempted to extort him and then raised the price for her silence as more women came forward with assault claims.

In his legal documents, obtained by TMZ.com, Cosby claims Huth's lawyer approached his attorney, Marty Singer, last month and made "ominous references to criminal penalties", demanding $100,000 for his client's silence. That figure allegedly increased to $250,000 in the weeks that followed.

Cosby states Huth tried to sell her story to the tabloids a decade ago.

He also dismisses her claims that she played "a drinking game" with the comedian, insisting he is "a life-long non-drinker".

Cosby is demanding the dismissal of Huth's civil lawsuit against him, which she filed in Los Angeles earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Cosby has suffered another blow in the ongoing sexual abuse allegations scandal - U.S. Navy officials have revoked his title as honorary petty officer. The military leaders state the allegations conflict with their "core values". Cosby's legal representatives continue to deny the claims against the comedian.

Bill Cosby Finally Speaks, Plays the 'Race' card as part of PR Spin

Bill Cosby Finally Speaks, Plays the 'Race' card as part of PR Spin

In speaking with editors at the New York Post, Cosby said, "Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind."

He then went on to thank his wife for standing by him. Cosby also praised his wife Camille for standing by him during the furore, adding, "Love and the strength of womanhood... Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love."

Clearly the 'Spin Doctoring' has begun.

Upbeat Cosby expects ‘black media’ to stay neutral

Bill Cosby broke his silence Friday, albeit briefly, to lecture the media on remaining “neutral” and to say that his wife is standing by him.
Reached at his Massachusetts home, the star declined to address the rape and sex abuse allegations from an ever-growing list of women that now includes supermodel Beverly Johnson.

Instead, Cosby, 77, said that the African-American media — for which this reporter often writes — should be impartial.
“Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind,” Cosby said.

The comedian, who is being represented by the Manhattan-based crisis-management company Hiltzik Strategies and attorneys Martin Singer and John B. Schmitt, said he has been advised not to talk to reporters about the ongoing allegations. More than two dozen women have publicly claimed that the “Fat Albert” creator drugged and raped them.

The allegations span at least four decades, beginning in the 1960s.
Johnson, who auditioned for the “The Cosby Show” in the 1980s, alleges that Cosby put drugs in her cappuccino after he invited her to his New York brownstone to rehearse lines for an episode on his hit NBC television show.

While Johnson didn’t accuse Cosby of rape, she said she didn’t know what his intentions were after spiking her drink.

Cosby sounded upbeat on the phone, but said he couldn’t address the specific allegations.
He did, however, wax poetic when asked how his wife of more than a half-century, Camille Cosby, was holding up under the strain of the allegations.

“Love and the strength of womanhood,” he said. “Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love.”

Then Cosby cut off the conversation. “They don’t want me talking to the media,” he said.

If he's not trying to play the race card, why would he be differentiating between so-called 'black' and 'white' media communities?

Didn't expect him to take that spin...

It's because it's a very nice tie in with all the other black outrage currently in the news. His mistake is that that outrage is justified. Getting upset that a black man is being accused of multiple drug induced rapes after 20 victims independently come forward with accusations is not. But they'll try, nonetheless.

He is 77 and most realize that he is guilty. By the time his lawyers drag this he would probably be dead.

I'm no lawyer, but I'm thinking that although criminal prosecution is likely no longer possible, he may be trying to get ahead of impending civil lawsuits that based on sheer volume of complainants could potentially bankrupt him and his family. It's always about money.
