Muckchelle, may I ask what the average agency/SP fee split is? I hope more than 50% is going to the SP but never have any idea.

every agency about the same, around 33-37.5%. only sketchy pimps are 50%+ lol

I'd gone in for an "interview" at an "agency" (lol) and it went well, by the end of the interview an ad was posted and I saw my first client that afternoon. I was literally shaking through the whole half hour session. He was a super nice guy, patient and easy going, probably the perfect client for a first timer, and he ended up being a regular until my retirement. I think I spent more time massaging him and apologising for my nerves than anything else. Luckily, he must have thought it was cute. On my way home I was giddy, I had cash in my pocket for having a good time, I was a bit surprised I wasn't feeling any shame. I couldn't wait to go back the next day.

@LadyJacklyn, when you say "interview" with quotes, what does that actually mean? I've heard some not so good stories about what a sex worker's "interview" means.

I put in quotes because in this case it wasn't so much an agency as a condo owner renting out the rooms to working SPs, so interview isn't really the correct word here, though they may have had some standard to who they let rent it was not the same as general agency standards (age, weight, etc).

at first yes! opening the door to a stranger is as nerve racking for a new SP just as much as some clients but dissipates if first 10sec impression is good

i don't rmb much about my first but i knew my boss was hiding in the closet half the time to see how i did. that made me more nervous than the session itself hahahah

as for agency interviews and stuff it wasn't a real interview, felt more like friends talking about history in industry, school/work situation, their rules, photoshoot etc. lol most places just take all the girls they can get.

Yup, definitely nothing sordid about how I started. I thought about it for months, made the contact to the "agency" over email, and it just went from there. I enjoyed working there, met Jessica who taught me so much about safety and was an awesome duo partner for a year after we left the condo. Good times!
