She should have a good defence in the court of law. Lucky for her, Big Brother was not only watching, but also recording with his cell phone camera.

It appears that, just like the cop, she too was a "victim" of the guy in the black shirt sprinkling water into the melee. Looks like she was walking toward the officer, then turns abruptly when the water is thrown and starts walking toward the water thrower.

Sad.

very sad ..cuz if it wasn't for this video she'd be convicted for assaulting a police officer

Sorry T and Maurice I don't agree with you on this one. North America is not a Police state and we do have rights. We have the right to walk the streets and we have the right to not expect to be accosted and assaulted by the Police. She was innocent and did absolutely nothing wrong based on the video. If at an earlier point and time she mouthed off to the Police that still does not excuse this officer from wrongfully assaulting her.

Based on the video there is nothing she could have done to avoid what happened. She walked up, seen what was happening and decided too walk away and boom, she leaves in handcuffs with a bloody lip! NO, this should not and is not acceptable in North America maybe North Korea or Iran but not here.

Ok, 1) she wasnt' just walking the streets......2) You're wrong, she could have easily avoided what happened by NOT BEING SO DAMN CURIOUS

Once again, here's a video of someone getting into trouble with the police that could easily been avoided......gasp how you ask? By not being anywhere near them...funny how that works eh? It appears the cops were dealing with some sort of situation...in a crowd.....why the fuck would anyone with any sense walk up and get involved? Yeah, walking up to see what they are/were doing is getting yourself involved.

Now, not one of you truly expects the police to have eyes in the back of their heads do you? AN unbiased look at the video shows that the woman, you have to admit, would look guilty to the cop(s).....

No we don't live or want to live in a police state, but you also have to realize that we hire the cops to enforce the law....if you get in the way of them doing their job, then you will have to face the consequences.

As honeybee says: good thing the video proves her innocent because otherwise, she'd be charged...but again, she wouldn't be in trouble in any way if she just stayed the fuck away.....

What's with people? Why do they constantly want to pet the pitbull?

Just like if the cops are casing a bank robbery and you walk into the scene waving a gun....would you be surprised if the cops arrested you? NO.....

tboy my google Dr\s licence declares you insane...you are fucked up..u really shoulda been a blow job..and i really hope 1 day you get a beating from the police ...just cuz...no reason..just cuz u was there... lmao

Honeybee, T boy doesnt like a bj...well an amazing bj is a rarity..... ;)....Right Tboy?

T sorry bud I can't agree with you on this one either. The Officer over reacted. He could have grabbed her, thrown the handcuffs on her and taken her in. Once the video was seen it would have been over, instead he pounced on her and bitch slapped her over a little water. I don't think any judge will excuse the Officer's actions once they see the video.

he shoulda been a bj ...to his momma and poppa ...don't misquote me lol

I am a big supporter of the Police but I'm having trouble defending this officer's actions. A Police department has many different men and women all with different perspective and personalities. We don't know what the issue was and the officer may have been on pins and needles but regardless I think he will be facing disciplinary action for his action on this day. I'm hoping it's not the loss of his job.

you know, if you weren't nothing but a waste of skin I'd take that as an insult but since it's coming from you, it's laughable actually.

You see, I'll never get a beat down from the police...know why? Because if I ever DO have any dealings with them, I have the common sense to act accordingly...

I'd say the same to you, but with you, it isn't a question of IF you ever do...it's when.......

Philadelphia Officer Who Punched Woman to Be Fired

Josey, 39, has had 13 complaints made against him over his career,

The Philadelphia cop caught on video punching a woman in the face will be fired, according to
A video posted on YouTube shows Lt. Jonathan Josey punching a woman in the face and before she is led off bloodied and handcuffed.

Earlier today, the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office said it intends to drop the disorderly conduct charge against the woman who was hit.

The woman was identified as Aida Gusman, 39, a mother of three and domestic worker, according to She denied throwing anything at police and said she did not know why she was punched.
"I'm 40 years old. I don't have time to play games like that," Gusman told WPVI earlier in the week. In addition to her facial injury, she has cuts and bruises on her arm and hand.
The video was taken at Sunday's Puerto Rican Day Parade.

The video shows a crowd of blue-shirted police officers standing in the middle of a street, around a car. Someone on the left appears to throw something resembling silly string or a liquid on the cops. An officer in a white shirt rushes out of the crowd and goes after a woman with long, dark hair and a black T-shirt.

Her back is to the camera so it is unclear if she was saying anything to him. The officer appears to punch her in the face and then hit her in the back of the head. She falls to the ground where two officers apprehend her and lead her off. As she passes the camera, blood can be seen streaming down her face.

A fellow officer had called Josey, a 19-year veteran of the force, a "good cop."

"If I was in a jam, I'd want him backing me up," Lt. Ray Evers told ABCNews.com. "He's a good cop, but the video speaks for itself and the investigation will reveal whatever it reveals."

Josey, 39, has had 13 complaints made against him over his career, but Evers said that it is hard to quantify whether that is a lot, a little or average. He said it is not entirely unusual for officers who have frequent contact with people in rougher neighborhoods to have complaints made against them.

He said the 13 complaints against Josey range from verbal abuse to physical abuse.

"It's hard to decide if that's a lot or a little," Evers said. "Most were unfounded or not sustained."

The YouTube video, titled was posted on Sept. 30 and has been viewed over one million times.
