I know we have a thread here somewhere that has Hobbyists and Providers tips. This one is specifically for those for whom discretion is crucial. Please post what you do to ensure that this part of your life isn't revealed without your say. Even no-brainer stuff is appreciated! Some people who may not be as tech-savvy as you will benefit.

Don't anger people.

Don't be open about your personal life.

Keep negative reviews respectful.

Never use your real email.

Don't ever give your family name to anyone.

Never post a picture that is also on one of your personal social networking sites.

Image search tools can easily find pictures that are associated to your personal online accounts. Recently, I had to notify a lady to think twice about posting a picture that was found online and didn't include the facial blurring.

Thanks guys--keep 'em coming. I'm still kind of new at this and learning.

I posted a picture on another site once right out of my regular Photobucket account. When it was up for a few minutes I looked at it and checked what would happen if I clicked on it. Of course it led back to my user name and my real email account, which could lead to Facebook, my name, address, etc. I took the picture down pretty quickly and opened a second Photobucket account.

I have a friend who was caught by his wife for not deleting texts on his phone so I'm pretty careful there. My computer remains private. I hope.

Delete emails, texts and phone logs every time you contact a SP so it become a habit. Same with always closing your browser, always clear your history, password protect the data you keep.

Always look in a mirror and check your appearance before returning to work or going home to wifey. Check for stray hairs that aren't the same colour as your SO's, no lipstick marks on your clothes, have an explanation for any scratches or bruises resulting from the hobby.

The devil is in the details.

If you want to be very discrete and always have your browsing history and emails with you, you can create a Linux bootable flash drive. It's easy to do, once created, you plug 'er in, have your laptop boot from the USB and you have a complete environment to browse, get email, edit office documents, whatever you can do on Windows or Mac you can do on a bootable USB drive.
You shut down the computer, throw it in your pocket and you have all the nasty web searches you performed, hidden away. :good:
Doesn't change anything with the OS that is installed already on your hard drive.

Linux is fairly resilient to virus, but if it becomes corrupt, format it and re-install the Linux OS and you're off and running again.

Don't visit MPAs or SPs, avoid sites like HUBGFE, and be a boring person forever.

Don't give your cell phone number to Google, when they ask for it 'for your security'. They can use that to find out who you are, by matching a phone listing to a name, and cross reference that to e-mail addresses, and Facebook or other social media, where one's real name is used, but the links to internet handles/ e-mail addresses are indirect. Using Google World, your every move can be tracked by Google, as long as you are carrying a cell phone on your person.

Don't give any website information about you that they don't need to know, just because they ask for it. You have no control over how they will use that information, or to whom they will give, trade, or sell it, either now, or in the future. Most people just give that up, because 'they have nothing to hide'. They'd better hope that they'll never have anything to hide, because once you give them that, you can't take it back from them. They own a part of you, and they won't tell you why they want to know so much about you, in exchange for giving you something shiny.

Think about the guy in the grocery store, who wants to offer you a ballpoint pen or a Toronto Star, if you'll sign up for a credit card. All you have to do is give him authorization to check your credit history, and you get a pen, or a paper. Once he has your credit history, even if the credit card is not approved, he can sell that information to other people, who want to know your credit history. They don't give you anything, but you've given them indirect authorization to share what you gave, to anyone who wants it.

The police would like to have every purchase made with a credit card, and so would the government. Many merchants will give a discount on HST, if you pay them in cash. If you ask them, they will say no, but if you pay them in cash, sometimes they will just apply the discount, and encourage you to pay them in cash for your next purchase. Your Escort might cost more, if you were forced to pay by credit card. Would you want the guy in the grocery store to be able to find out everything you spend your money on? If not, say no to the pen or the newspaper, and let some other chump give that information away.

Depending on the phone you use, iOS for example, may have the name of the user attached to the cell number when texts are sent out. I got a text from an escort that had her text number and her real name right behind it. It has to do with the personalized profiles people like to setup on their devices. Sometimes those profiles carry over.

I use a VPN service for both privacy concerns and because sites like these are banned in certain countries where I travel. (They also try to ban VPN services too...).

This thread is very timely because I just received an infraction over on another escort forum for using a proxy service (their mistake). Will this be a problem on here too?

Further info...I have been using a VPN for several years now and I don't know why anyone who frequents these sorts of forums from work will not use one. A company can easily scan your data packets and know which sites you are frequenting and who you are communicating with.

If your spouse is technically savvy, they can also check your home router's logs.

Unfortunately for Transient, I found him on Russian Facebook. He's really Lol Azaza, from Moscow:

Busted!

Never post pictures that have been taken with the GPS coordinates associated with them. Many cell phones have a feature called Geotagging that is by default turned on. Turn it off if you choose to take a picture and then send it to someone. You don't want people to know where your junk lives.

Two points that come to mind...your telco provider may (I know Telus does) keep a record of all of your texts sent. So, you may delete the texts on your smartphone but the record of them being sent will be in your billing history. Get a hobby phone...safest.

Second, go incognito or privacy mode in your browser.

Actually, that is not how it works. A third party cannot simply buy your credit report/history. There are laws governing what and who can access your data. You should have a look at the TransUnion site.

Not sure about the police, they would probably only care if you were involved in a criminal act. The reason why the gov't would like to know and it's not only related to credit cards is that it comes down to taxation. A merchant who takes cash and takes off the HST is actually breaking the law.

As for an escort costing more...yeah, it's 2.5% perhaps in credit card processing fees.

When you set up an email account, keep in mind that whatever info you input into the "First Name" and "Last Name" fields will show up in the inbox of the person you email.

The first point assumes that a company gathering credit information will obey the law. It's foolish for anyone to have blind faith in the integrity of any corporation. Credit card companies exist solely to make money. They produce no goods. They make all of their money from people who want things before they can afford them.

The police would like to know everything about everyone. They'd like to have fingerprints, blood samples, semen samples, hair samples, dna samples and photographs of every man alive. Judges prevent them from aquiring that information, unless they can prove that this information directly relates to a crime committed. Credit cards leave a paper trail. If everybody bought everything with credit cards, A person could be held accountable for possessing something, without proof of purchase.

The police might not care about that information relating to everyone, but keep in mind that the police police themselves, they're more lenient to wrongdoing from among their own ranks, and they will exceed their authority, if they have motive and opportunity. If weasels are guarding my hen house, I don't feel secure, if one weasel vouchers for the others. They're still weasels, and weasels like to eat hens.

That is why you use a fake name. I can get many Gmail and other accounts and my name will never show.

Also DO NOT bring your wallet, briefcase or laptop to any session.

When you call/text someone and they don't respond within an adequate amount of time, notify them of the time frame in which a reply is appreciated.

For instance, you send a text on Monday inquiring about her schedule for Tuesday. She doesn't get back to you during your work day. If you will be home by 6pm and would prefer not being disturbed by any contact, let her know not to contact you after said time.

If I don't get to a text within 15-20 mins of receiving one, I do not respond unless I've been told it's alright previously. If I cannot remember if it's okay, I err on the side of caution and wait to be contacted again.
