Mama's food still the best.

Had a lunch get together at my Mom's place. Can't get over how good her food tastes. Dined at the best restaurants around the world but she beats out the top Michelin star chefs.

Do you have a Mother like mine or is it that I am so used to her comfort food and when I come back to it my food palette is just so accustomed to it?.

Since my mom couldn't/wouldn't cook, my dad sent me to stay with my aunts and grandmas when I was about 10 years old so I could learn how to cook and bake. I still make everything from scratch, still use the same recipes they gave me when I was a kid and the only cookbook I own is 'The Joy of Cooking'.

I used to watch Wok with Yan when I was younger so I could learn how to make Chinese food from scratch, and the Galloping Gourmet was another favourite, but I don't watch cooking shows any more.

I am that Dad. I swear I cook much better then 90% of the restaurants that I go to and if I find a dish I really love at a restaurant I usually can recreate it with ease , sometimes even better
