I'm not all that sure it would be that different than alcohol use and the rules around it.

As for the line about being a puffer....companies right now are telling people that they cannot smoke during work hours and some even ban smoking on your own time (usually related to health care costs according to the companies).

You know my views. People should be free to smoke whatever. Companies should be allowed to set up whatever hiring process and work rules they want. And people can choose to work at a company or not. Everyone can make their own choices based on their needs. If you really need the job but you want to smoke weed...you have to choose which is more important. If you cannot find enough employees under the "no smoking even at home" rules, then you will have to find ways to make the job more attractive or change your rules. It really doesn't seem that complicated.

I heard there is a city giving non smokers extra weeks off to compensate but can't find that link.

There would be plenty of money to be made to afford a little education thrown in the mix. One must spend money to reap the rewards of the investment. Big thinking leads to big profits while still helping the folks that require the help. It's a win win. I need to run for office.
