I know you say you want to stick up for the vulnerable people and won't put some on ignore but seriously, you are not actually sticking up for anyone when the person you are speaking to is either a) having a fuck of a laugh at your expense because they are trolling or b) have it so ingrained in their head that no matter what you say, they will never see the point.

You need to learn that some people just want to push your buttons because of how you fly off emotionally. It is a laugh to them. It is fun to them, but it is serious to you.

They are playing a game, you are not. So no matter what, they are winning to them because you are not even playing the game. See what I mean?

Better to just leave it alone. For your sake. Not theirs.
